Praising the beauty industry’s recent efforts to be more inclusive, Trista encouraged members to further address LGBTQ+ underrepresentation in ad campaigns and promotions by shifting the focus from featuring celebrities to showcasing people who look more like beauty product users. She also pointed out societal and bottom-line benefits come from efforts to push for LGBTQ+ equality.
